GE Aviation came to Ashe County in 2007. The 200,000 square foot facility currently employs 270 people with plans to continue to grow and manufactures rotating parts for commercial and military aircraft engines. The people of Ashe County make this a special place to live and work. Employee involvement in decision making and dedication to the success of the business has made the operation extremely successful over the past several years. This success has encouraged GE to invest over $103M and double the manufacturing space since 2007.
