The North Carolina Department of Commerce operates the Business Link North Carolina (BLNC) Program, which provides access to an extensive network of experts who can help your business succeed. It contains helpful information on everything you need to know from licenses, government contracting, business plans, tax information to marketing and access to capital. In addition to the resources available on the BLNC website, BLNC business counselors are also available to answer your questions during regular business hours by calling 1-800-228-8443.
Aside from the regional and statewide resources available to small businesses and entrepreneurs, the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce Business Consultants Group offers free business advice, mentoring, and counseling to anyone starting or operating a business in the County. Those seeking assistance from the Business Consultants Group are not required to be members of the Chamber of Commerce. The Group is comprised of fifteen consultants from varying backgrounds and areas of expertise that have served 120 clients since the Group’s inception in 2010.
